Friendly Friday Challenge: IN-TRANSIT

In many parts of the world, restrictions on movement and travel are gradually being lifted. After weeks of confinement, it is a relief to move about. Even so, travel is not as it was. Here in Canada, trans-border crossings are still closed to non-essential travel and even domestic travel between provinces is discouraged. I look forward to the day when all travel restrictions are removed. Until then, I’m glad to have my archives to remember past trips – when I captured scenes of people in motion, moving or stopped in-transit as they went about their daily lives.

For this week’s Friendly Friday Photo Challenge I ask you to share a photo of people or time IN-TRANSIT.

This can be an old or new photo, showing something or someone in-transit, moving from one state to another. Feel free to interpret this literally or metaphorically. With the fall-out from the pandemic and international anti-racist protests, there’s ample room for interpretation. Major changes feel imminent in the world and our current status seems in-transit to a new normal.

For a more interpretative photo, this is a derived image of Canada’s PM at a recent protest in Ottawa. Sometimes silence is a precursor to change in the status quo. One can hope. Link to the news article and original photo here.

      Just curious .. which photo did you like particularly ? last color photo (which is also in the feature image) or the B&W one?

        1. The feature photo is of a subway station in Singapore. It is an overhead shot of the floor mosaic tile work by artist by Milenko Prvacki. He & his wife were commissioned to do a number of pieces in the station which is a massive interchange. i am always impressed with fine art in public spaces. Glad you liked the shot!
