Paris Street Photography

I’ve added a new tool in my toy-box. Inspired by Véro and Amanda, I’ve been playing around with making videos.

Playing around resulted in this and that and that … and before I knew it, I’ve done created my own Youtube channel and uploaded a video of street photography in Paris.

The photos are all B.C. (Before Covid), so don’t mind the absence of masks and les horreurs of drinking coffee only two feet apart.

My next step will be: Making videos of videos. Véro’s kindly invited me to host the next Bloggers with a View project and I’ll soon issue an open call with the to-be-decided topic. Stay tuned!

  1. I love your photos, Sandy! I’ve been wanting to be more creative with my content apart from posting all my photos as they are, so you gave me an idea to create a video/slide show of my photos as well. ❤

    1. You definitely should go! It’s even better when you have a friend who can take to non- touristy areas. Or at least a balance. One should not miss the Paris icons 🙂

I’m looking forward to the day we can safely travel again too. One day …

    1. It’s interesting how different pictures stand out for different people but the last one seems to strike a chord.

Thanks for subscribing to my Youtube channel Yuri — I’m not sure that you’ll see the vid without a link though. I’m keeping
the video ‘unlisted’ rather than ‘public’ to avoid the odd-odd comments (I already got 😦 )

    1. I think you must mean the second to last picture, the one with the bride?

Interesting story – it’s not a statue but a real person. She was dressed up in full bridal glory but was totally on her own. I kept looking for the groom and bridal party but there weren’t any. She was all by her lonesome, happily taking selfies all over the park.

      1. My attention was garnered by the bride on her own taking a selfie. I wondered whether she could be modelling for a submission to a fashion magazine? Fantastic street photography and I love the way this concept is catching on.
I think it is a good thing I haven’t been to Paris, I would gain far too many pounds in all those cafes and patisserie treats.
Which app did you use to compile the video?

        1. I used Canva and was surprised at it’s ease and range of function. It doesn’t do everything I’d like but it’s good enough. A real bonus is the library of music that comes with it!

  2. I love your Parisian street photography – you capture the essence of the city very well indeed 🙂 I really liked the bride taking a selfie in particular! And I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with as an idea for the next Bloggers with a View project 🙂

          1. I’ll have a think. Our local farmer’s market isn’t operating in lockdown and we’re asked to shop as quickly as possible so filming in the supermarket may not be possible, but I have a couple of ideas I could consider. Would a sequence of stills like yours be OK for this project?

  3. Quite obviously I loooooooove the subject you chose for this first attempt. And the result is very professional looking. I can’t wait to see what you’re going to produce for our next collaborative vlog.

  4. The terms “red pill” and “blue pill” refer to a choice between revealing an unpleasant or otherwise life-changing truth, represented by the red pill, and remaining in blissful ignorance, represented by the blue pill. 🤨
