Close-up on the Pacific trail

This post is for my friend Lisa who loves flowers.

I don’t normally take pictures of flowers but I was walking through the trail and these plants caught my eye.  The colors were vivid, the textures rich and the contrasts extreme. Normally I’d walk straight by but when I looked close-up, I discovered a different world.   

Hmm.  Looking at my galley, I see that I didn’t actually take many pictures of flowers.
