Entering the trail to Combers Beach, the first thing to see are the warnings for “Wolf in Area.”
Five minutes later, my heart skipped a beat when I saw this.
It looked like a wolf.
But it was only a log in disguise.

I would swear that was a wolf. This country sounds pretty wild, but as you pointed out to Suvi, that is part of the attraction. Forests= wild animals. Keep those purse zippers shut! You don’t want to lose your keys there.

Omg I would be spooked to go there after seeing such a sign. Although I am quite sure wolves are generally scared of people. But that shadow in the bush, yikes!!

It’s quite common to see these signs for Wolves, Cougars & Bears in the area. This is pretty wild country 🙂 The signs are warnings to be careful but not meant to be deterrents – or else we’d miss the amazing sights. But yes, the shadow in the bush was startling.
